CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE

Chocolate cake with 5 ingredient chocolate frosting is our favorite homemade chocolate cake recipe. Chocolate cake has more of a milk chocolate, rather than dark chocolate flavor, making it perfect for kids. It's simple to put together, and bakes up into a moist but easy-to-slice cake. This cake will be tender and moist.

Preparation time: 1 Hour 
Serves – 4

Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tablespoon baking soda
1½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoons salt
2 large eggs
1 cups milk
1 cups warm water
½ cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Handful of Raisons, Walnuts, Sliced Almonds

For the Chocolate Frosting
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
ü Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
ü Butter three 9-inch cake rounds. Dust with flour and tap out the excess.
ü Mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a stand mixer using a low speed until combined.


ü Add eggs, milk, warm water, oil, and vanilla. Beat on a medium speed until smooth. This should take just a couple of minutes. Mix the wet and dry Ingredients together and mix well
ü Pour the batter among the pans.
ü Bake for 30-35 minutes until the cake meets the toothpick test (stick a toothpick in and it comes out clean)....
ü Cool on wire racks for 15 minutes and then turn out the cakes onto the racks and allow to cool completely.

For the Chocolate Frosting:
Combine butter and cocoa powder.
Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.

Re fridge it and serve immediately.
