KADAI PANEER RECIPE
Kadai Paneer Gravy is made
from paneer cooked with spicy gravy made of onions, tomatoes, capsicum. It is
one of the most popular Indian curries and cooked throughout the restaurants.
Kadai Paneer can be
enjoyed with roti/chapati, naan or flavored rice like Jeera rice or Pulao. You
can make a dry/semi-dry version. This recipe is for the dry version of Kadai
Paneer.

Serves – 2
Ingredients
Paneer, cubed - 1 cup
Onion - 2 (small), cubed
Tomatoes - 3 (small), chopped
Capsicum - 1, cubed (Coloured
)
Ginger ,finely chopped - 1
tblsp
Green chillies - 2
Red chilli powder - 1
& 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - As needed
Kasoori methi - 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves, chopped
- 3 tbsp
Roast & Grind :
5 Red Chillies
1 tsp Coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
½ Fennel seeds
Preparation of Kadai Paneer :
ü Heat a pan and dry Roast Cumin Seeds, Dried Red
Chillies, Coriander Seeds and Fennel Seeds on low heat till they become
slightly dark, allow to cool down and grind it
ü Heat oil in a pan/ kadai and season with by
adding ginger and give a quick fry. Add chopped onion, green chillies slit and
fry till onion turns transparent.
ü Add the chopped tomatoes and add salt, add red chilli
powder and turmeric.
ü Fry till tomatoes turn gooey.
ü Continue frying and then add the cubed capsicum and
fry for 1 or 2 minutes. The crunchiness and colour should not change.
ü Later add Grind masala and give a quick stir for 5 min
ü Add the paneer cubes (paneer cubes should be kept
immersed in hot water till use) and crush the kasoori methi and add it to it.
ü Add 1/2 cup water and mix well.Cook till the masala
coats paneer well and the gravy is thick almost dry.
ü Add the chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with
